founded + led by valerie nawojski, v+kdf is a design collaborative. our studios are made up of architects, interior designers, artists + makers who are uncompromisingly passionate about creating meaningful solutions for our clients. our multi-faceted team fiercely collaborates with each other + our clients to create places, objects, + experiences that are uncommon + purposeful, because cool shit matters.

initially drawn to design before i understood what the word meant; i was a small, lego-obsessed girl trying to build the best lair for her thundercats, who grew into a professional passionate about using design + space-making to positively impact the way people interact with each other, their communities, + the environment.

polish-american, sci-fi nerd, born + bred on the south side of chicago; university of illinois at chicago graduate with bachelor of arts; harrington college of design graduate with master of interior design; 15+ years living, creating + causing trouble in the city of chicago + the surrounding areas.
